~Emergency Prayers For My Mother-in-Law~
She lives in the deep woods and went driving early a.m. Drunk driver possibly pushed her off road. Veered into large tree and took it down. Arthritis bound, she has broken an arm. She is in ICU and on respirator now for pnemonia. She is not awake.
Please pray for a miracle. Oh I am so sick to my stomach right now. Gotta go before they do something else to her. Thanks>>Believe51 |
Marie am so sorry about this. I will say an extra special prayer for her. If you need to talk, call me. I should be home most of the day. Hang in there honey!

Praying hard for you Marie, as well as your mother-in-law! May god bless you with the miracle!

Good Golly, Marie! I think we just need to stop the world for a few days to allow you to have a pause in the craziness. I'm so very sorry to hear about your precious mother-in-law. I'm prayin' for ya all. ma

Marie,
My prayers go out to your mom for her recovery. As if you -- and she -- didn't have enough to deal with already. Big hugs to you both, Joan |
WOW! When did THAT happen??
And she is on a respirator already! We knew she was already fairly fragile. Will continue to keep you and ALL your family in my heart for healing. Take that scream ride any time you need to, but maybe better to do it in an empty parking lot somewhere. |
Marie,
I am so sorry to hear of this. My prayers are with you, Ed and your mother-in-law as you face this difficult time. |

Thanks for the comfort from this family. You all energized Ed and I with such power. Honestly I felt so protected since yesterday. I felt she was protected too from the evils she is enduring.
Mom broke the ribs on her left side which did not puncture the lungs. However, she is a little peanut of a woman and the airbags did push those ribs into her lungs causing severe bruising. The vent she is on is for the underlying pnemonia, a very bad case at that. Also she has COPD and asthma, her throat was almost closed shut. She has a bad broken arm. They are trying to wean her off the vent right now and she is fighting to do that too. She is still not awake but knows we are there. I swear when I told her we were going to take care of her cat, that she winked one of her two closed eyes. Our goal is to get her off that vent ASAP. Today they increased her antibiotics. She cannot take anything too harsh, especially pain meds. They are doing a terrific job in getting her well. When they came in to do rounds I told them all that I put in a good word for them. I said that she would be proud of their efforts since she was a RN for over 30 years. They laughed so hard I thought she might awaken. Then the pressure sank in....hahaha. She is a tough person and was a soft but tough nurse. The main thing is to get her any tests she will need when she is still asleep. Her arthritis prevents her from laying down that flat for that long. Right now her heart is severely enlarged but we are unsure if this is from the accident. Please do whatever you can while she is asleep and comfortable. Do it when she cannot say no. She is thick so she may refuse these tests that will aid in her recovery. Unbelievable, this is the only way to get her better right now. Did I mention she was thick?? Haha! I am sure my butt may get kicked when she improves but I am willing to take that chance. I am hoping that I do not get downgraded from the pedestal she has me on (more laughter) Ed, Joan and I want to extend our deepest thanks to all of you as I world becomes more challenging. I know she will overcome this and will be better with some time. I'll keep you all posted. Prayers right back at y'all>>Believe51 |
Marie,
Thanks for letting us know how she is doing. Hope you and the Mighty Oak are o.k. and have gotten some rest today. Amelia |
Amelia, the nurse just called me and had me in stiches. Although Mom is not awake she managed to pinch the nurse today. We are on the road.>>Believe51
|
LOL!
Anyone who can pinch someone while sleeping is a force to reckon with! |
Marie, I'm so sorry to read the news. My thoughts are with you and your family.
Eric |
Marie,
It seems that the hospital has stabilized your mom, and I'm praying that with time and rest she will come around. And when she gets back to herself ... that will be a good sign. Hugs, Joan |
Emergency Prayers for My Mother in law
Dear God. Please take care of Marie's mother in law and give her the strength to heal.

Sweet Marie, you have my prayers, too. Thanks for keeping us informed. It seems like things may be turning around. You guys hang in there. Love, Bill
|

|
Another prayer from Central Texas...
|
Marie, I will keep all of you in my thoughts.
|
Ed wants me to personally thank you all for the prayers from him. I cannot tell you how much this means to us who love this special woman.
We are still asking for continued prayers since she is not out of the woods yet. They increased her pain meds today and I have authorized them to put a PIC line in for her. The vent is not coming out anytime soon but she is trying so hard to breathe. Like I said, this woman is mad about what is happening and fighting the fight of a lifetime. I have Power of Attorney for my Sweetness and plan on sitting down and doing her bills this weekend. I had it all together until I had to open her mail. In this large pile of misc bills were the organizations she donates to. They all have to do with animals, hungry/homeless children in RI, Make-a-Wish, and children with special needs, list goes on. This was very emotional for me but I made it through until I read her insurance policies. I lost it! Besides having us as primary beneficiaries, she has one policy just for me. I am so sorry I had to open these but had little choice in the matter. My heart and soul ached as I saw what she is doing for me......well that is until she sees what I did to her!! I welcome any qualms she may have when she awakens and actually cannot wait to hear how mad she really is. Wake up Mommy, I want to listen to what you have to say!>>Believe51 |
Sending hugs and prayers your way.
Mary Jo |
Keeping those prayers coming your way.
|
sending lots of hugs and prayers your way!!!!
|
Quick Update: She is still on the vent but has been slowly weaned. The machine was forcing 18 breaths per minute. She has been moved from the Critical Care ICU to the Respiratory ICU. The machine is set down low and allowing her to breath 14 breaths per minute and coming to the rescue if she needs help. Still not awake but we are trying to force her to do just that. Still in the woods but seeing the light now!
Thanks For The Prayers>>Believe51 |
