Some good news!!! Should we continue the group prayers?
Maybe prayers do work!!! Three bits of good news today:
1. Caryn's kidneys are functioning well enough to get her 2nd treatment 2. Her billirubin stabilized from last week (stayed at 12.0). This is critical! 3. Her tm's came down after 1 treatment and 1 week!!! CEA: 1139.4 came down to 951.3 CA27-29: 399.7 down to 349.3 I know we have a long way to go and she's still in a great deal of danger but I'll take the good news and hope that it continues. God Bless ALL of you!! Why don't we commit to praying in force at 8:00 PM every Wednesday for everyone on this site battling this horrible disease? |
I have no problem with that would love to! Glad to hear things are inching up. Hang in there we got you covered.
|
Eric,
Caryn is in my thoughts and prayers. I am hopeful that she will be able to beat this. Julie |

Eric,
I am on vacation so I haven't had much of an opportunity to check the board. I decided to log in specifically to see how Caryn was doing and here is this wonderful update!! Prayers DO work...I just know it in my heart. So I will continue to pray for Caryn, you and your family. I love the idea of a single collective prayer time. I pray that Caryn will continue to find the strength of battle this disease and that the treatment continues to drive down the counts. Lori |
So happy to hear about Caryn's update! I feel strongly that prayers do work. I will continue to pray for Caryn and all of your family.
I also love the idea of praying for everyone in this group. Count me in. |
Eric, I never stopped!! (smiling) So happy to watch these baby steps happen and be a part of something so powerful. I think a weekly prayer date would be a fabulous idea!!>>Believe51

Some good news !!!! Should we continue the group prayers?
Oh my gosh. This is such great news !! I'm very happy !!
The numbers look good. Progress is progress !! It doesn't matter how fast it happens as long as it happens. Tell Caryn to hang in there so we can all go step by step together to improve our health. Yes. Let's make Wednesday our prayer day to pray for the whole Her 2 support. org group and beyond. Maybe we can pray around the campfire too. Prayer helps. |
Hi Eric and Caryn.....

Eric, I was THRILLED to see your post with the promising news. Please tell your Caryn that her Canadian BC "cousin" Caryn is rooting for her and praying every day for more news like this.
all the best caya (Caryn) |
Wonderful news, Eric. I'm SO glad to hear it and my prayers and good thoughts for you and your family (and for everyone in every post that I read) will continue. How is Caryn feeling, both physically and about this good news?
However, (I always seem to have a "however" ... hmmm). I don't think that there needs to be a scheduled time to send heart links and prayers. I think that our healing thoughts are of equal value whenever they are felt and sent. As long as we stop and find our own place of stillness. Rituals like lighting candles or sitting in prayer do help us to connect with that sacred place. But that can be on our own schedule, don't you think? I don't ask for an outcome when I pray or meditate. I guess I'm afraid to tempt fate or be greedy. Other people tell me that we should ask for specifics yet be willing to accept what comes. I ask for vague things like strength or love, but not for specifics like "better scans" or "cure the cancer". That just feels presumptuous or too bold to me. I'm not saying that this is the "right" way to do it - there are countless right ways to do this as long as we're connected in our hearts. I'm just reporting my way, and grateful that each of us has connected in whatever way is our way. It's all the same, right? Love, Debbie Laxague |
Dearest Eric,
Miracles do happen! I have not stopped praying for Caryn since you first posted and I will continue. Your suggestion of prayers for all on Wed is such a wonderful idea and so selfless. Thank you for thinking of others in the midst of your own trials for we are all in this together. I lift up my voice to God and the universe in deep gratitude for Caryn's progress today. I love this life, this group of friends, and the goodwill that is spread so far and wide from our computers as we sit in our homes and evolve through prayer for one another. Thank you, dear God, for loving us so much, Vickie |
I think that's a wonderful idea. Every night when I pray, I pray for this group and pray that God will send down an angel, or put the knowledge in some doctors head that will find a cure for cancer. I do believe God listens to prayers. I am glad to hear caryn is doing better...sherryg
