Mom's passing
 

Hi everyone. I wanted to let all of you know that my sweet Momma died yesterday three days after her 59th birthday. She never logged on to a computer in her life but I kept her updated on all of the new treatments through the wonderful and supportive people on this site. My Mom used to joke that I would mention new treatments years before her oncologists. I have to admit that my Dad, brother and I are struggling right now. We are all heartbroken. Even though I didn't post often, I just wanted to thank you all for "being there" for me late at night when I couldn't sleep and needed to feel hopeful. You are the strongest group of people I know and I will never forget your kindness and support.

Brittany, I too lost my mother at age 57. I vividly remember the shock and pain. You are never ready for this, but do know that you just have to let time pass. It was a comfort to me that Iwas able to care for her in hospice care at my home during her last weeks, we were very close and shared much. Some people don't ever have that relationship. I am thinking of you and your family and never hesitate to reach out and connect with others, that will get you through.

I am very sorry for your Mom's passing. I read your very first posting in 2006 that she was diagnosed in early 2004 with tiny liver mets.

Most likely we won't be hearing from you after this. I would like to wish you good healing and comfort. And thank you for being such a dedicated daughter. Your Mom must be looking down smiling at you right now.
