Rhonda was a bit premature. Our wedding date is actually June 4th and we are planning a large celebration in Wayne, NJ on June 14th.

This anniversary is quite special to us as when Christine was diagnosed as stage IV in 1999, we both thought that we wouldn't be celebrating our next anniversary.

The best present that we received was the announcement yesterday at ASCO by MD Anderson that HER2+ breast cancer patients are surviving longer that others.

In 2001, when this website was launched all we were told was taht "HER2 cancer is very agressive with a poor prognosis".

Dr. Eric Winer of Dana Farber and others have told us that within 5 years HER2 breast cancer will be a treatable disease. Hopefully by our 30th anniversary we will all be able to get on with our lives.

Joe your reply brought tears to my eyes. I know that you and Christine have been instrumental in the cancer research area taking notice of people with HER2. You are wonderful people. Have a very happy anniversary and maybe sometime you'll visit me in France - I've an extra bedroom with its own bathroom and it's in the south near Cannes so generally nice weather.
