CyberKnife Procedure Completed

I had posted this message under a thread started by Stehp but thought I should start a separate thread.

First, I want to thank everyone for their prayers and support as I went through this procedure.

The CyberKnife procedure was a walk in the park. It took approximately one hour and my daughter took me. I had/have no pain and no other side effects. I even got pictures of my brain showing the nasty met and the beams of radiation that zapped it. Readiation oncologist feels it was a complete success. I will be scanned in about 3 months just to check things out. The procedue was not uncomfortable at all and I actually dozed off while laying there -- that could have been from the Ativan I took to calm my anxiety. I'm now better than new!

Thank you so much for your concern, prayers and support. You have no idea how much it means to me

I am so glad that the procedure went well and you did not experience any discomfort!!!!!!

Great News !!! Don't miss any follow up MRI's. Most CNS tumors are treatable if caught early. I believe that the success rate for SRS is in the high 90%.

I go for my 4 month follow up today. Should get the results early next week and expect no surprises.

Hugs
Christine

Glad it went well and you breezed through it. Chances are on your side that you have seen the last of that pesky little lesion.

Dear Kate:

I am truly delighted for you. I was so concerned about you when I first read your post about your mets to the brain. Our Lord is listening to our prayers, we just have to believe. I love your smile...

Glad to hear you had a successful procedure and you even took a "power nap" . God bless you and keep you in his infinite mercy always.

Sending you a BIG BEAR HUG.. Much love to you and your family.

Woo Hoo

You are an amzing woman Kate, I think about that a lot. You have had some big blows very recetnly and you find the things to celebrate none the less. What a relief to know that it was an easy procedure and you are doing well and I am counting on those dumb mets to go away and not come back.

I'm so happy to 'know' you and reap the benefits of your advice and smile-keep up the great attitude and fortitude and update us on all you are going through.
