Yes, I DO hope to soak up some sun, but not too much too quickly. Remember I live up here in the misty woods and we are just now getting warm enough to go out without heavy jeans and bulky sweaters.

Cathy - I would love to see the Mediterranean this trip, but we will be on the Atlantic so have to put up with some beaches there. Also going to the island of Madeira for 4 days, which I hear is more like Hawaii.

We will have a car for 10 days so moving around and seeing many parts of the country, staying in renovated manor houses and country inns. Lisbon will probably wear my legs out big time!

This is my reward for NOT having more mets to treat! I feel energetic enough to do a trip like this - just barely ...

Thanks again for the nice wishes, friends.

Mom has had a second fall and now has a hairline fracture of her pelvis. Thus putting her back into her wheelchair and needing full assistance, to move from bed to chair to bathroom.

I just spent 6 days at Mom's , since she is at home for now. If she injures herself any further, she will most likely have to return to a rehab center.

It is all very nerve wracking, as we are doing what we can to keep her safe and healing.
