Bad things happen to good people ...
We are all familiar with that one, right??
Well, we are in a situation of HORRIBLE things happening to the BEST people. My Dad is very bad off right now. He has incubated a bad infection and is in the OR right now for the surgeon to clean the wound well and put in a "wound vac" thing that actually helps suction out the poison that is developing. His white blood cell count has dropped a LOT since starting on the antibiotics, but we have to just pray that his body is still strong enough to get through this. This would be a terrible way to lose him. On Sat he was sitting up and enjoying sports with us - tennis, baseball and basketball. In the evening he got very tired and could hardly wake up. He was already on one antibiotic then and started on a second one. Please pray for him - this is truly a case of BAD things happening to a GODLY person. Heartbroken - Stephanie |
Dear Stephanie,
I am so very sorry this turn has happened. It is so difficult when our parents are ill and then to have this happen so suddenly after enjoying the day. Of course I will place your dear Father in my prayers. Stay strong and try to remember to take care of yourself and get some rest. Sending all good wishes and prayers, jean |
I will keep him and all of you in my prayers. Hugs, prayers, and strength to all of you!

((((Stephanie))))) so sorry to read about your Dad. I still remember the pain of losing my Dad years ago after many heart procedures (he was a good man, too)- I'll keep you both in my prayers for a full recovery from this latest setback. We're here for you.

I am so sorry to hear this has taken a turn for the worse. These darn infections are getting so many people. That is how I lost my sister last summer. He will be in my prayers. Keep us updated Steph, sending you a big hug, Sandy

Like everyone here, I'm praying that your dad will come through ok. It sure sounds like he is getting cutting edge treatment there in Seattle. All the very best to him. It sounds like he has a chance, between excellent treatment and a tough constitution. Take Care.

Steph...
Done. Take care and God bless.

Steph, if he was getting stronger hopefully that will help him through it. I'm glad he was where they should have been able to catch on pretty quickly and try to address it early. You have all been through a great deal of stress that no one deserves. Please take some time somehow in all of this for keeping your own health strong.
We are thinking of you and your family. AlaskaAngel |

Stephanie, so sorry to hear about your dad. Sending lots of prayers and thoughts both of your ways. It does always seem that way but I can't believe G-d intends for things to happen to only good people. Hope to hear good news soon about your dad.

Dear Stephanie,
Thank you for sharing this about your dad and asking us for prayer. I do pray that he will pull through this and that God would comfort each of you. It is so hard to watch those we love suffer in any way. Hugs, Mary Jo |
Steph, I'll be sending thoughts and prayers that your Dad fights this off. I know he's in good hands and they're doing everything possible to turn the tide in his favor. Stay strong.
