BethC 10-12-2008 06:52 PM

Yogi Berra is the best! My husband added one more that was on the AFLAAC commercial with the duck: "And they pay you in cash, which is just as good as money."

harrie 10-12-2008 10:05 PM

PinkGirl, you are so amazing. You are like a walking Google Search Girl!

Colleens_Husband 10-14-2008 08:42 AM

Very good job everybody!

There was one wrong answer. No. 19, Frank Burns said he wanted to be a doctor for only one reason, what was that reason?

Lt. Leslie Scorch also was the name of a scrub nurse on the show Trapper John M.D.

Radar had two cows, the milk cow was named Edna after his mom and the show cow was named Bessie.

Finally, there were a couple other Richard Hooker novels besides the ones Pink Girl mentioned. 'M*A*S*H goes to Maine' was the best of the lot and 'M*A*S*H
goes to New Orleans' was a pretty good read as well.

So if someone guesses why Frank Burns decided to become a doctor I will post a Woodstock trivia challenge.

Gerri 10-14-2008 08:45 AM

Since it is my wrong answer I will try to correct it.

19. The reason Frank Burns became a doctor was to clear up his skin.

Is that it, or are there other reasons floating around out there?

I think Shelia is waiting for the Woodstock quiz so you had better get to posting!

Thanks Lee for keeping us so entertained!

Colleens_Husband 10-14-2008 10:50 AM

Yeah Gerri!

You got it 100% correct. Good Job!

Oh, and the Woodstock quiz will be in a couple of days.

Lee

Bill 10-14-2008 05:09 PM

Joe Cocker! Aw dammit, I'm sorry, it's that seeing into the future thing again. I'll just wait for Lee's question. The Rolling Stones! Sorry again, I'll leave now.

harrie 10-15-2008 12:05 AM

Come on Lee.......I'm ready!!!
Dont mean to jump the gun ....but.....

JIMI HENDRIX!!!!!

Colleens_Husband 10-15-2008 07:33 AM

Awwww Harrie and Bill:

Those were two of the answers. Now I'm going to have to find two other questions. See, I told you Harrie was an evil genius! She was using the International Date Line to travel to tomorrow and she read the internet, then crossed back across the line and posted today. Its cheating but its cheating in a very clever way. And Bill, well there isn't a rule against seeing into the future but you need to give Pink Girl a chance to win.

Gerri 10-15-2008 08:13 AM

What am I, chopped liver? In going back, I noticed that I answered 13 questions and PinkGirl answered 13 questions - out of 25. We both answered question #3 and depending on who was right, one of us answered 12 correctly and the other 13. Pretty darn close.

I'm just saying......

PinkGirl 10-15-2008 08:21 AM

Gerri, no, you are definitely not chopped liver. Really.

All this means is that we have to share the prizes and it
doesn't sound like Lee is going to part with the bunny bowl,
and ........ it really doesn't matter because neither of us are
willing to give Evil Lee our address, which is a good thing, I'm
just saying ....

Gerri 10-15-2008 08:31 AM

Thanks Pink, I didn't think I was chopped liver, but then I was starting to doubt everything.

Good point about the bunny bowl and Lee's refusal to part with it. He probably thinks he's pretty safe because we won't give our addresses to him. However, at some point I just might be okay with scheduling a drop off in neutral territory. For now I guess we just have to settle for the satisfaction that we did our best - the line I always tried to sell my kids.

(It's great to have you back http://her2support.org/vbulletin/images/icons/icon7.gif)

Colleens_Husband 10-15-2008 08:41 AM

Gerri:

My humble apologies to you. You are one motivated quiz answering fool. And I mean fool in the good way. Its just I never thought of you as the type who would elbow her own grandmother in the throat to win like ........

Ummmm..... thats not going quite the way I had hoped. Let's just say you did a good job and leave it at that.

Lee

PS

If you would elbow your grandmother in the throat to win the quiz, then I apologize for that too.

Gerri 10-15-2008 08:45 AM

Lee,

Are you calling PinkGirl old?

PinkGirl 10-15-2008 08:58 AM

Evil Lee,
Are you implying that I would elbow my grandmother in the
throat in order to win a quiz???? I'm not the one who left
my granny in a Canadian prison in Nelson, BC ....

Gerri, we have to talk ....

Gerri 10-15-2008 09:30 AM

Ahh, now I get it Pink, Lee was slamming you not me. When I first read his reply I did not notice his overt reference to you ("like...").

Lee, Pink has a point about your poor grandma who has locked up for so long now. Isn't it time to bake a cake with extra iron (wink, wink) and pay her a visit?

Colleens_Husband 10-15-2008 09:53 AM

I didn't call anyone old, and being 49 and 15/16ths years old myself and rapidly approaching the half century mark, age is not one of the subjects I wish to bring up.

And I did try to spring granny but as I told you, she fell for Big Red, the one eyed logger and she wanted to be with him, at least till his eye heals, which is only fair since she is the one who put it out, so as soon is Big red is up and healthy I will sneak across the border to get granny out of that hell hole prison. Well, unless she is falling for the big lug. A swooning granny is never a pleasant sight.

harrie 10-15-2008 11:33 PM

Wow, those are hard questions.

Lee, I think you should put that Jimi Hendrix question back on in all fairness! I can't help it if I answered it correctly before it was actually posted! I think it is cheating for you to change it when the answer was correct to begin with!! In fact for any question answered correctly prior to posting should deserve 2 points! juanita 10-16-2008 05:11 PM

i was only 6 at the time and had no clue it was even going on!

hutchibk 10-16-2008 06:08 PM

I was 10, but lived in Germany - though I do remember hearing about it from my brother and on AFN radio. We were nutty music fans even back then...

Sheila 10-17-2008 04:22 AM

OK, Giving my age now but as one who truly remembers Woodstock, I was 17, just wondering Lee why you wait to post a quiz i have a chance at on a day when I am gone to chemo...it was the drug thing right???

Brenda...so smart, you could hang with us flower children anytime!!!

hutchibk 10-17-2008 09:09 AM

I am only as smart as google...

Colleens_Husband 01-09-2009 04:47 PM

Heads up to everyone about an impending quiz.

In the next few days I will post a new quiz on one of Colleen's favorite television shows. Since Pink Girl is in an American smuggler's prison for something to do with spray cheese, maybe the rest of you will get an opportunity to answer a question.

Nothing against Pink Girl, mind you. She is a quiz question answering fool, and I mean that in the best way possible. She answers more questions because she is a very resourceful person.

Gerri 01-09-2009 05:04 PM

YAY Lee! I have missed you and your crazy quizzes! Of course I miss PinkGirl too but alas that is another thread.

Bring it on!!!!!
