Wow, Brenda! What an incredible journey! I can't imagine what/how you were feeling, being caught unaware, and then...totally unexpected surgeries...wow!
I wish you a happy and healthy 2012--

To Ms. Tremenda Brenda!!

Your spunk and attitude are amazing and inspiring. Not only did you have to spend 12 days in the hospital, you had to spend 12 days in the hospital over the holidays. YIKES!!

I was wondering about your Denver adventures, was worried that your hospital stay would knock you out of the TDM-1 trial. Glad to hear that didn't happen. Hope you get those platelets back to where they should be!

p.s. Finally went to my first Pink Ribbon Cowgirls luncheon. Sorry you weren't there!

Brenda,

What an ordeal!

I'm truly amazed at your resilience. And the fact that you can write so well right after some brain procedures...

Take good care of yourself. This seems to be the only Board where a brain surgery is not that big a deal... :)

Thanks yet again ya'll! Jackie, they didn't have to touch any gray matter at all, and the cerebellar spot was actually close to the surface, so there was no brain compromise at all... just removal of a piece of skull and of the offending matter in the cerebellum. Oh, that and a little bit of Emergency Room to do it all over again... sigh. : )

I wish you speedy healing!! It is amazing what you've been through. Yours is truly a story of encouragement and inspiration. Your grey matter is certainly in great shape because of the wonderful sense of humor you share with us. Onward!!
