I am so sorry to hear the news about Ed. Both of you are in my prayers.
Have you asked the doctor about trying Gamma/Cyberknife first before doing WBR?
I also have "imaginary headaches and back pains" so that I can get my brain and bone scans. Good job.

Sorry to hear about the brain mets. Did Ed have any symptoms? Please be sure for him to have plenty of rest. I am glad those 'mets' were caught early. Most likely either Gamma-knife or other treatment options can 'zap' them to non-existence or simply control them for a very, very long time.

I had Gamma knife in 2001 to treat 3 tumors that were over 1.2 cm each. And they are all well under control.
