I am so terribly sorry to hear this sad news and I, too, hope that she may have a peaceful and painfree departure and that you are surrounded by loveing family and friends at this difficult time. You have been a steadfast caregiver and your love for Hema shines through your posts.

Just bringing you all up to date. Hema is on 3 doses of 10mg morphine. But they do not appear to be sufficient as in the afternoons she is in pain. I have contacted the Onc (being Sunday) by e.mail if the dosage can be increased to 4.She is on liquid diet but the intake has come down. This morning some bleeding in the affected breast .I am praying for a pain free period for her. Thanks to all of YOU

Certainly praying for peace and comfort for you, Hema and your family. Many prayers for relief of Hema's pain. I just admire you so much, you are such a wonderful husband and caregiver. I hope you were able to take a small break while your children were there.

She is on 6hourly dose of the pain killer . In the morning she replies a little like good morning etc. As the day goes on when she is awake she smiles at visitors and I feel she recognizes them. Her intake has gone down. My son from the US went back a couple of weeks ago and my daughter went back last Monday as her daughter has to move to a University .My daughter in law is starting back on the 10tn I am praying for courage to carry on alone looking after Hema and to overcome contrary advice from relatives . You are doing all you can and that is enough. You keep her comfortable, you make sure she is surrounded with love, she knows you are there. If it were me in her shoes, that would be all I wanted and needed.

I wish you and Hema good, painfree moments and mutual love.

I agree with Jacqueline, you are doing everything the way a woman in Hema's place would need or want.

Your love and care is allowing her to have peaceful and pain free transition... no one would wish for more.

My prayers continue for Hema's peace as your love surrounds her.
And my prayer for you is for courage and wisdom as you face increasingly difficult days.
I also pray that you will take time each day to nurture and care for yourself. I believe Hema wants that.
