Hi Amanda,
I'm new in here. I just had 2 rounds of TDM1 and it did not work for me either. My tumor went from 13cm to 19cm in one month. I'm not giving up hope just on to the next combo. I have been on many different chemo combination the last 5 years and I keep plugging along. Something will work!! I wish you the best and stay Positive!

I am so sorry this wasn't the magic bullet you (and we'd) all hoped for. I have no cancer advice as ours are all so different- but I would say to try and not get discouraged, any therapy be it 10 years old and not all sexy has the potential of giving us some extra time until the "next big thing". Be patient and wait for God to answer your prayers and know they usually are not answered in the time frame of our choosing. God bless you and your family.

Darn it...so sorry that this wasn't the one. :( Big hugs. Keep the faith...the next one is it. I guess thats all we can ever really do is keep looking forward. Im sure praying for you and your family.

Thanks you for your support. I am still on trial - radiologists couldn't agree on progression. I am being rescanned next week - 4 weeks - hoping this was a blip and I am stable and able to continue tdm1. I still feel good. Swam 1.2km in the ocean day before yesterday. Still believing I can do this. Love to you all. A xx

Hi Amanda, very impressed you can swim 1.2 kms - I'd be impressed with that even if you weren't having treatment of any kind! Hoping that the scans next week are all good - it's always hard when the radiologists are not sure what's happening on scans.
I'm off for a swim now myself - and one things for certain, I won't be swimming 1.2 kms!

I too would like to express my awe at the whole swimming 1.2 km thing! Seriously, I don't know many "perfectly healthy" women in our age group who could do that...certainly not me...well done!
And, more importantly...I'm glad to hear that you and your treatment team decided to stay the course until you're sure of the results. Radiology is not the exact science I once thought it was :)
