Re: Not cancer but a new challenge for me
I had a knee replacement 2 years ago. The pain was not as bad as I expected.
Therapy was hard but do-able. I still have some pain in that knee because , as the surgeon said, "I can replace your knee but not cure your arthritis". Of course the pain is no where near what I had before surgery. My other knee is bone on bone but not too painful yet. Because of cancer surgery and treatment , they tell me I have to wait a year. I had my surgery done at Long Beach Memorial Hospital (Long Beach,Ca.). My doctor was Dr. Douglas Jackson. Unfortunately, he just retired. |
Re: Not cancer but a new challenge for me
Thanks Laura for the encouraging post. I hadn't thought about the arthritis still causing some pain but I guess it makes sense.
