Thanks Chelee, this is bad news, but we are so glad you told us.

Vicky, you have been a champ and I don't have words for the feelings I have about you right now. Sorrow, admiration, love, respect, grief, they don't even begin to describe my emotions.

But I know you will be ok. Even in these terrible times, you will be able to handle what's happening to you.

Cap, stay strong. And cherish every second you have together. They will have to last a lifetime. They will last a lifetime.

I am so incredibly sad to hear about Vickie's struggle. When I was first diagnosed less than a year ago and scanning these boards I was drawn to a post of Vickie's. She was an inspiration to me and helped me through some difficult days and I was so grateful to have her to talk to. Ever since then I have been corresponding with her and she has been a source of ongoing courage and support for me. I hadn't heard from her lately and was fearing for her and praying for her daily. She stopped emailing because she didn't want to worry me!!! (but I wanted so much to be able to comfort her) I hope now, in her time of need, that she can sense all of our prayers and they can reach across the miles and support her as she has supported so many of us. I hate cancer!! I'm sending love and courage and the strength to fight to all my sisters in this battle! Most of all, I pray for a cure!

Vicki, my love and prayers go out to you. I hope that your pain is easing & that you are finding some peace and comfort. You inspired me often this past year, thank you for that. Because of you, my life now is all about dancing in the rain.

Geezzzz... I just saw this thread - and what a bummer. Thank you for sharing with us - and as usual she is worried about us and not her. WOW. We will all be thinking of her and praying for her.

And for Pam - gosh girl - you have been such an inspiration for me - I do think of you so often and am praying that your new treatment does start to kick into gear for you.

This disease is flipping the pits - I hate HER2! Well, cancer in general, but this bugger still makes my head spin. I have watched the Living Proof film about 4 times since I found it (in Italian even! - which I am making a copy of and giving to my Italian Dream Team of Oncologists) but I really enjoyed it and had new respect for those who have passed before us helping with the making of Herceptin. Even though Herceptin is our biggest bullet - it makes me realize how many of us with breast cancer are fighting this beast.

And, Pam - I too keep reading.... I am somehow connected to all of you - we are sisters and brothers in this fight - we all need each other, even if we feel we aren't winning.
