Most remarkable is that Stephanie, Sheila an Christine are all Stage IV survivors with a total of 35 years since diagnosis:

Steph, I don't know how the dog got into the picture other than she is very sneaky. The other day a bag of "Beggin Strips" fell on the floor. I watched her as several times she gingerly approached the bag, removed a treat and ran behind the sofa and ate it. She was very careful not to disturb the bag.

Whoa - what's this 'pick and choose' option, Steph? I always operate as though it's appropriate to eat all the food offered... didn't know there was another option. Is that why I come home from S.A. every year a little fluffier? Thanks for the heads up for next year. You learn something new everyday.

Funny Joe, Jackalopes and Chupacabras follow me everywhere. I'd prefer cute little Dachshunds, but I guess my meds like Jackalopes and Chupacabras.

Yes, that 35 years is impressive, but we can do better than that!

Add in Chrisy who was also diagnosed in 2002, and we boost the survival number to 42!! Between the 4 of us attending the symposium.

And we WILL keep adding to that number.

Brenda - "pick and choose" because certain venues have the better quality and variety food. I can only eat so much of the "gut bomb" variety.

That IS a good dog trick. It might even surpass being able to get a dog treat out of a bag without disturbing the bag (and going behind the couch to eat quietly).
