Hey Loves,
Surgery is over! It's not so bad. I woke up with a little pain so they gave me vicadin and that makes me nauseous so they gave me compazine. Then I was so doped up I couldn't hold my eyes open so I got them to let me out and I came home and slept it off with ativan. Woke up this morning feeling great. Just a little sore, like I've done about a million push ups. Just taking Tylenol and probably more ativan for the night. Once I get these drains out I'll be feeling much better. I'm just so glad it's over. Thanking you all, again for your help and support. Love, C |
You've done!!!
So glad it's over and that it went well! Congratulations! ma |
Glad to hear that all went well. I think those drains drive everyone nuts!
|
WoooHooo Celeste!
Now this part is behind you and everyday you'll be feeling better. The drains will be out before you know it |
Celeste,
Congrats! You have made it through! When the drains come out, and your "zippers" have all healed up, you will have a new sence of "freedom"! It feels great! The mirror gave me a little problem the first couple of weeks, but I learned quickly to ignore it! Rest easy and visit often! We love to hear how you are doing! |
Congratulations Celeste! Wonderful to hear from you and to know you are doing great! :)

Surgery Wednesday
Hope you continue to do well. Don't worry about the drains. They may be a bit uncomfortable now, but they actually prevent problems later. They are there to get all the "stuff" out, so it will be less likely that something like a seroma or hematoma will develop later.
|
Way to GOOOOO Celeste!! So proud of you! I can tell you have a very positive attitude. That's great.
|
Celeste,
Glad to hear you are home and doing well. Amelia |
Pathology good!
Heard good news from my surgeon's nurse today. There was absolutely no invasive carcinoma left anywhere, and all lymph nodes were negative! WOW! Just a little in situ where the tumor had been. I'm going to talk with my doctors about not doing radiation and I'm almost certainly not doing hormone therapy. I'll keep up the herceptin and do genetic counseling next.
I have my appt with the surgeon tomorrow to hear more, but I had to share. Positive news to add to our positive thoughts and keep the us fighting strong. We can do it! |
Celeste,
Great to hear of your good report, and once the drains are out you'll feel much better. Joan |
Sending a special smile and giant hug out to you girl. You sound great and this makes me smile big and hard. Together we stand!>Believe51
