Hi Doug, glad you're starting to feel better, and don't ever hesitate to question the pre-med protocol as it's not uncommon for things to get "missed", "skipped", or otherwise lost-in-translation. Ask if you're being given decadron as one of your IV pre-meds, as I couldn't believe what a difference this med made for me while on Taxol, Carbo, Avastin. I was only given it once weekly at infusion, but it carried me through the worst of the side effects and even gave me more energy than I was used to having. Worthwhile to ask if you're not already getting it!

Hi Lolly,
Yes, I am taking Decadron before, during and after. The onc even gave me another script for it now at half dosage to help with the nausea. I figured out that the Phenegram(sp?) was causing me a lot of sickness. He switched me to Anzamet(sp?) and it seems to be agreeing with me a lot better! Hopefully through trial and error my next tx won't be so horrible!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter Sunday with your families :)
We had a wonderful family dinner and a very relaxing day. It would have been better if I could have tasted it, but everyone told me how good my cooking tasted! LOL

Doug, I am so happy that your medical team was able to pinpoint the discomforts to a drug reaction. You should be back on track again.
I have a question on your profile....written next to your tumor stage, what is "pt1b NO MO"?
