Given that right now you have no choice of chemos it seems to me that your best course of action is to monitor your disease over time using tumor markers including the her2 serum test. You (hopefully) now have the link to look at the pdf file posted on this test. Using it regularly and charting the results watching for an increase in numbers would allow you to react to increasing disease PRIOR to tumors actually developing. I like this idea....rightly or wrongly.....so that one can hit increasing disease with loading herceptin PRIOR to tumors actually developing which is a much more difficult situation to deal with! Thank you Cathya, the link worked this time. I am not sure I understand completely though. You mention use it regularly charting the results to monitor if there is an increase in disease so one can react prior to tumors showing up and be able to load herceptin. I already just started herceptin. So the her2 serum test is able to predict disease activity before tumors actually show up?
