Marie, thank you for the update - it sounds like it was very productive and thanks for rushing to post it here.

But I'll bet Dr. Burstein, if he was lucky enough to have a parallel support group would be rushing to tell his comrades "Lil' ol Dr. Burstein got to meet Believe51 and her Mighty Oak!!!"

You are so amazing and I'm sure you made a big impression on him. He will not forget you anytime soon.

Dear Marie -
It looks like more than a few of our prayers made it to the 9th floor of that medical center. Those same prayers will greet you in the infusion suite tomorrow as Ed makes an adjustment in his treatment routine.

May blessings of healing come your way.

Girls, I am really having second thoughts about dropping the Ixempra. OncoMan will look at the TM in the morning and we are going to take it from there. You all know I struggled back and forth about the reintroduction of Herceptin. Worst case scenario it will be the Ixempra with the additions until we can decide the regime. This would only happen if the TM went down in numbers, any drop would be encouraging. If the CEA drops I will almost know, not really for sure, but I will almost know that this reflects the passing of this drug through the BBB. That number has proven in his case to represent brain and bone activity. His body appears to be controllable and nothing as far as we can tell, in any organs. Body has been well receptive with most treatments. If marker drops, then I will keep and then add to magic recipe.

Either way Ed will take his Emend and trudge forward. He amazes me ladies, I look at him and see he is still truly embracing life, never complaining. Do not get us wrong, we are rather scared with this news but I think we can do what we need to do in the next few weeks. But as scared as we may be, we are more full of hope and anticipation. Tomorrow begins a new fight, a fight we are claiming today.

Wait and see the damage he does!! There is even a stronger look of fight behind those eyes than ever before. You go Mighty Oak, let us resume where we left off. I love you.>>Believe51

Marie,
You are such an inspiration to me. Your persistence and outlook of hope is what we need! I am sure most of us would love to have you as a personal advocate, but VERY MUCH appreciate the love and assistance you give us on the board. I am praying for you and Ed, Lida

Marie I commend you on all your efforts. Never giving up on Ed is the best gift. I never gave up hope or a miracle drug for my mother. The Dana will take good care of you both. I am praying for you both and I thank you for all of the wonderful information you provide us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
