Praying for you. You can do this. Wish you wouldn't have to, though...

Re: Please, Lord

I've been home since yesterday. I only spent two nights in the hospital. Missed my daughter's 18th birthday, although we did sing happy birthday with cupcakes at the hospital and then went out to dinner when I got home. I feel great, thanks be to God, except for some bloating and discomfort after eating, but I'll take it. Praise The Lord. The CT report says I have a small amount of ascites.

I'm a big baby in the hospital. Someone usually spends the night with me, my husband, sister, best friend, etc. I'd rather my husband be home taking care of our family but he'd rather be with me because he says I don't remember everything to ask and everything that's told to me (he's right). It's nice to have someone there who can get up and get you cold water or the nurse, etc. The medical staff at the Hospital of UPenn are awesome. They always do their best to accommodate us.

Thanks for all the prayers, thoughts, love, and hugs. You guys are amazing. We all are, and we should never stop praying for ourselves and each other, no matter how bleak things look. He calls us to do so.

Penny

Penny,
Things will go your way. You are in a great place, and they'll take care of things. I will light my three angel candles tonight for you. They are for Christmas but I keep them lighted all year.
Love
Karen

YAY Penny, I am so glad to hear you are home!

Chemo on Monday, and back to NED. You've got this, especially with Karen's candles and everyone here rooting and praying for you. :)

Re: Please, Lord

Dear Penny,

I'm praying for you now. I think about you every day. You are in God's hands, and God will not abandon you.

We'll stay with you too, every step of the way.

I pray God's richest blessings on you and your family: for the peace that passes understanding, for the awareness of God's loving embrace, for the joy of resting in the love of your family, friends, and community.

We are not alone. We live in God's world. We trust in God, who has created and is creating. We believe God is making all things new. All things.

Dear Penny, That sounds like a scary few days. But glad to hear the up side that bilirubin is down ( and stay down! :) ) and that you feel better and you are back home. Good luck with Monday's chemo!

Penny, I just wanted you to know I am thinking about you today and every day. Amy said everything so eloquently and beautifully ...

You are not alone. God is with you.

Re: Please, Lord

Bilirubin is so high that oncologist is surprised I'm functioning, let alone making it to my appointment. Will try a lowered dose of chemo. I have anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months left to live.

Love,
Me

Penny, I am praying this chemo buys you as much time here with us as it possibly can.

I am so grateful to have you in my life.

Love,

Carol Ann

Re: Please, Lord

Penny,

I'm so sorry. I just don't know what to say to you. If I could reach out and give you a hug that is what I would do. I want you to know that I have always been impressed by your faith and belief in God. Even in the face of this fight and all that you have endured, your faith has remained strong. I trust that this faith will comfort you. Surely God has a plan for you.

I will continue to pray for you and your family.

Take Care,

Brenda
