From 3:30 until 4:30 I have nothing but a bit of water.I am taking 5 Lapatinib(tykerb) pills everyday at 4:30 pm (allows me to go for lunch....and have supper..), so far just a bit of diarrhea in the late pm 10 ish. I just started so more symptoms may yet come..I have a few pimple like spots on my hands and my gums are sensitive(no sores )
I read hutchibk posts and have been eating small healthy meals:)
Good luck

I just started and I take 5 Tykerb tablets in the morning on an empty tummy, then 30 min later I eat breakfast and have 3 Xeloda tablets. In the evening I have another 3 Xeloda tablets after dinner. So far so good as far as side effects and I am praying for the best. I'm thinking the pain meds I am on for my bone mets is helping fight against the diarrhea that I here is common SE.

Just FYI - the literature tells you to take Tykerb 1 hour before or after a meal, and recently I read that not only should we avoid all grapefruit products while on Tykerb, but we should also avoid any other citrus or citrus juice for at least an hour before or after taking Tykerb.

I am also on Herceptin every three weeks and am taking 3 tablets at bedtime of Tykerb for the metatasis to my neck diagnosed earlier this year. I started on four tablets but after six days had massive hives all over my body so the dosage was reduced. I suspect it will be increased as I am doing well at this point.

Tyberb

I am currently on Xeloda/Tyberb. I take 1 xeloda in the AM and 5 Tyberb at night before bedtime. I have been on both since April 4th. I had a terrible bout of nausea but now take ginger root every day and also zofran somtimes if I need it. It has really helped the nausea.
