For BRCA2, there is an increased risk for melanoma.

Also, hedgehog signal increased in meningioma, too, not just bc and bcc. Remedy vit D to decrease signaling.

I know this is an old thread but I had a basal cell carcinoma removed from my face on Friday. I had had the "pimple/mole" pop up many years ago and thought nothing of it. I am lucky it didn't grow (or at least if it did I would have known). It was neither large, deep or ugly.

Becky-
Glad they took care of that little "thing" on your cheek! As we age there are more and more spots of various kinds that populate our skin.

Use Arnica to minimize the scarring. You probably know that already!

I had one removed last year too. Basal cell. There was this tiny tiny white thing (looked nothing like a mole) right under my eye. What made me go have it checked out was the feeling that there was something like a hair in that area, but nothing was there. I would catch myself brushing the hair away and then one day my light bulb went on that it was the tiny white spot where I had that sensation. They said it was the smallest one they had ever removed. I wondered about a connection to BC as well.

Glad it is gone and nary more a worry!

Keep that smile beautiful as ever!
