Sheila

I've been thinking of you all day. I hope today went well. Did you bring a good friend or family member. The benadryl can really put you out so at least you sleep during the whole thing. Let us know how you are as soon as you can. Big hugs to you to help you kick cancer butt.

Sheila...

And these things remain - FAITH, HOPE and LOVE. But the greatest of these is love. Do you feel the love?

Of course flip-flops rule too!

My prayers are flying...

Love and Light

Another hug to add to your collection

Sheila, I'm thinking of you, wondering how you got on yesterday, and hoping you're feeling at least relieved that the waiting part is over.

Someone once said to me, after one of the chemo cycles, "Just think, you'll never have to have that particular one ever again". It did make me feel that yes, I am strong and proud to have achieved that goal. It's all one step at a time, isn't it.

I can't remember from your signature if you had Taxol before, or if this is the first time. I had taxotere, and if you need any help with particular side effects please feel free to send me a private message - I'm happy to pass on what worked for me in managing them. Hope this doesn't sound too resigned or gloomy - lots of people do brilliantly on the taxol family of drugs, after all, and have very few or minimal problems on them.
Love to you

Well Yesterday was a long day, but went pretty well.....I took 5 4mg tabs of Dexamethasone the night before, and 5 yesterday morning....I expected to be up all night, but slept like a baby...maybe just too worn out to let the Dex overide me. I spent 11 hours yesterday between the travel and the infusions....both seem to go well, they gave me Pepcid IV, Benedryl 50mg IV....(WHOA, now I'm tired) then started the Taxol (weekly x3) . When the taxol was done, time for the bathroom trip, so before I was hooked up to the Avastin, I made a dash...my luck, the IV tubing plugged and had to be restarted. Oh well, the Avastin IV (every other week) went well, another 1 1/2 hours then finally sent home with compazine for nausea. I slept most of the way hone, had some fruit and a light dinner at 5pm and then just layed around....that Benedryl knocked me for a loop. I never had any nausea, and today just feel kind of whacked out like I slept too much. My local Relay for Life is tonight, and I've always been a big part of it...don't know if I'll go or not. Tomorrow my Grandaughter gets baptised..thats a must. Thank you all for all the love caring and support...it means the world to me....

1 down...???? to go!
