Paps after chemo & herceptin: When?

Hi Ladies,

Does anyone know when we are suppose to get our paps once we
completed our treatments? Does anyone know how long after treatment?
Can our treatment result in a false positive or negative?

Please share your knowledge and experience. Thank you!

My OBGYN kept my normal schedule of once a year.

I get one every three years and have done since my treatment ended.

I got my first pap after chemo/herceptin about 6 months after treatment ended because I had missed the one the year before due to treatment. My oncologist told me I should have waited a full year - because I did have an "abnormal " result which was fine a year later.

I am on a once a year schedule now although Medicare only pays for a pap/gyn visit every 2 years.
