Hi,
I'm in my 11th year of taking Arimadex, after a bilateral mastectomy in 2005 at the age of 47.

I'm waiting to hear back from my oncologist to see if she wants me to stop. I just had a Dexa scan showing osteopenia.

I'd be curious about other HER2 women's experiences with Arimadex. I tolerate it very well and actually am scared to come off of it.

Many thanks,
Jane

I was on Arimadex for 6 months. I'm off for 5 days and my oncologist is switching me to Aromasin. I have been having severe joint pain. My head feels foggy and a bit depressed. I exercise daily and eat very clean. My gut feeling is that I can not tolerate the drug. I have a few questions since you are an Arimadex veteran...if you don't mind?? 1. Did you have any traces of blood in your urine? 2. What dosage were you on? 3. Did you have any severe rib or joint pain? Stiff hands? 4. Were you on any other anti-estrogen pills? 5. Were your hormones ever monitored for levels?

I'm reaching out to connect with other women who are on these pills.

Thank you for sharing!

Hello,

I'm going on my 11th year. I wanted to come off of it but my oncologist suggested I keep taking it.

The newest study is showing ten years according to my Onc, I stopped at eight but she just asked me continue for another two years. I had Osteopenia a few years back which was reversed by an annual twenty minute iv of Aclasta.
