Not HER2 anymore

Hello HER2 friends,

I just got the report from my liver biopsy.

ER+ 100% PR 10% and HER2 one + considered not HER2

I am so surprised after 10 years! No wonder Kadcyla stopped working.

Did this happen to anybody?

HER2 and non HER2 tumors at the same time giving me the impression that Kadcyla stopped working when in fact it wiped out the HER2 tumors but had no impact on the other ones?

I was focused on trying to get Pertuzumab in France but it is of no use!

I didn't see my onc yet.

That is interesting! I hope Lani or some other propeller-head chimes in on this. What are they proposing for the treatment for the mets?

Sneaky, insidious disease. I'm glad you had the biopsy done. I hope you are offered a new treatment that clobbers the hell out of your lesion(s). You're on the right track now.

Are you still taking an Aromatase inhibitor like Femara?
Hopefully not being HER2+ in your liver makes it easier to fight. What about the bones? same thing? not HER2+???

What a surprise! Or a shock.

I know a woman who has two separate breast cancers, both metastatic, one HER-2+ and one not. She's actually doing very well.

Knowledge is power. Now that you know what you're dealing with your treatment can be planned accordingly.

And please stay in our group. You're still our sister, HER-2+ or not.
