Hello ladies,
Unfortunately today I found out that I have progressed on paclitaxol so Drs are switching me to Halaven. The Dr said the drug is easy to tolerate and that it can be administered every 3 weeks or on Day 1 and Day 8. I initially asked for it to be every 3 weeks, but then she said I cannot do that option. Not sure why.
Has anyone had Halaven? If so, can you please tell me what to expect? I read that hairloss is common, nausea, tingling are common. Right now, I am tolerating the taxol well so I would hate to feel worse. I am also unhappy about having to go to the hospital on Day 1 and Day 8.
I am also wondering how people responded on Halaven. I feel like all these treatments do nothing to reverse my disease. I also worry about not being on anything that targets Her2. Anyone with thoughts?
Hoping for some answers...
