Have been doing some research and have come across this a few times -
Active Hexose Correlated Compound (AHCC) Mushroom Compound.

Said to be for Immune Support.

Widely used in Japan for Cancer patients. Being used in over 1,000 hospitals in Japan and a few in USA. (Can't find any info about UK) It must be pharma grade AHCC product.

In studies stage 4 patients 60 per cent alive @ 10 yrs compared to only 20 per cent of those not taking it.

It is an anti-oxidant & said to be safe with chemo or radiation.

Any thoughts? Good or bad.

I know that the PSK/Krestin used in the current dHER (anti-HER2 immunotherapy) trisl at UW Tumor Vaccine Group is also from Japan. Leanne Standish is a FABNO (naturopathic oncologist with highest certification) and instructor at Bastyr University brought PSK into the mix. It is from turkey tail mushrooms.

I posted about medicinal mushrooms in my other things to can do for brain mets thread if you are interested.

I took it all during chemotherapy and many years after. I take it now only if I'm under the weather. It's not cheap but I found the right source on Amazon. I studied this and used it with my total treatment plan when I was researching how to combat my cancer.
Hope this helps!

Found articles in :-
cdn2.hubspot.net
AHCC Woodlands Patient Guide. PDF
&
curezone.org

Both suggest that AHCC safe to administer with chemo. As long as not metabolised via CYP4502D6 pathway.
Also do not use with Doxorubicin & Ondansetron.

Interesting reading but I'm still a bit unsure.!
