Thank you for everyone who responded to my thread on your thoughts on a retreat. I loved the ideas about the conferences and still would like to do that but in my mind, I wanted to do something away from Cancer, something fun where we can all bond and relax together!
I have been working with a fellow member here and she has graciously offered her lake house in Illinois for our retreat! This house is well appointed: 5 bedrooms, swimming, boating (2 boats), Frisbee golf, foosball, table pool, fire pit, walking paths around the lake, and other amenities. Food & drink will be provided.
The location is 3 Miles from the Wisconsin border with closest airports to O'Hare, Madison, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Rockford, Illinois. Once I find out how many are interested then I can work on transportation from the airport. Those of you that may have some financial strain for airline tickets, also PM me about that, I may have avenues to get money donated.
Dates would be August 19 - 22nd. Room is limited so if you are serious about coming, we are going to do this on a first come first serve basis - PM me to reserve your spot in this adventure!
