Wondering if nausea and vomiting after first treatment of carboplatin/gemzar are being caused by potassium loss. Any one have experience with this side effect?

Hi Ev. I'm no expert and don't know any particulars of Carb/Gemzar. But re: vomiting and potassium -- I think it's usually the other way 'round. The vomiting causes the potassium loss. Diuretics are usually the culprit in low potassium but vomiting and/or diarrhea can do it, too.
