I am a year behind you and just starting neoadjuvant chemo with Taxotere carboplatin Herceptin and Perjeta. The rocky start has me focused on that day a year from now where I can join you and say glad that year is done.

I started a year ago this month with green crap discharge from my nipple and being told it was "just an infection" ... a few months of being told everything was fine and then everything hit the fan ...

Well done getting through it all. Now to stop Cancer being foremost in your mind (I know not easy). There's a wonderful helpful post about moving forward in the blog "But doctor I hate pink".

This is a milestone. But I know you think cancer will forever have prominence. I felt that way. It owned me. But over time, and when the dust settles and the "new normal" becomes normal, you start not thinking about it every waking moment. It's gradual. And a blessing Keep the faith

Thanks for all the encouraging replies. My celebration has been paused, my lab work showed elevated liver function levels. I go in the morning for a liver ultrasound. I'm hoping I just celebrated (margaritas, mojitos ect....) a bit too much in Mexico the week prior to my labs being drawn. Praying...

Hey, I lived in Katonah back in the 70s. In the guest house on an estate. Charming town

My liver enzymes are elevated too but my Oncolgist believes it is a result of the chemotherapy. Praying your Ultra sound is clear.
