What is the recommended schedule now for bone building agents that work effectively without unwanted side effects. (Such as gum problems - or too hard bone outside but soft inside that would contribute to fractures at times.)
Thanks for any information on the current recommendations.

I dont know what the recommended dose is but I was taking Zometa every three weeks and having problems. They switched me to every 6 weeks and I have had no side effects. Been on Zometa for two years. Don't know if that info helps but thought I'd share my experience
I have always gotten my bone strengthening meds at six week intervals too. I started two years ago on zoo meta and just recently switched to Xgeva only because it is given as an injection and cuts down on my infusion time. I think six weeks is the standard.
