I had my axillary node dissection on March 8, 2008.
Since then I have been lucky enough not to have any more cancer!

How wonderful! 'lizabeth. Congratulations!
Guess what? I was also diagnosed at Stage IIb in 2007 (June). Even though it was a recurrence from the initial one in 2003, I've been cancer free as well.
I've never been so healthy in my life as I am right now (especially after the prophylactic hysterectomy/oophorectomy). Just started using Equate Fiber Therapy - 100% Natural Psyllium Seed Husk and wished I had known it earlier. :)
Big congrats 'lizbeth!!
all the best

I am right behind you, Lizbeth! Still seems like only yesterday, though, doesn't it? Still fresh even 6 years later.

Hey, Ms. Lizbeth it is March 12th you are 4 days late in the celebration of year 6....Geesh "Eyeroll"!!!
So just say March is your Anniversary to be free of those tiny, nasty, aggressive (like your personality)cells!!! LOL...
XOXOXO

Thank Goodness, Linn65 - my secret is safe with you! It isn't like I've been accused recently of being passive aggressive.
I did post on the board - that's assertive!
No one has even suggested that I have a tiny personality, but my husband would prefer nasty . . . (do you hear I like my women just a little on the trashy side playing in the background).
Stop it. If women find out how much fun we have on this board, then every one will want to have Her2 cancer. It's an exclusive club, not everyone can join - you've got to pass a test first.
Keep it up, I'm going to call George Clooney and tell him you need a boob job.
XOXOXO

Lizabeth.....I am keeping it up!! Tell Mr. Clooney or George, as I call him that I just need him to hold my hand before and after my Nip/Tuck Friday!!
Personally, I think a complete/full woman must have a little trashy side!! With Chemo or Hormone drugs we can have a little of every side....Humbling, crying, laughing, ocding, adhding, loving, caring, and if you catch us on a bad day you might get an A** Kicking.....
Geesh, it is a special club no one said it would ever be easy to be in the inner circle....Hello, Lizabeth 20% of us means we are Unique and special !!
Pretty soon people will be asking for HER2 and follow it up with a trial for gawd sake!!!! :)

The danger of posting on a public forum is that someone will call George and he would actually show up, lmbo!
It is my mission to assist in eradicating this nasty chemo. I'm reappointing you to become the hormone expert.
We do have an exclusive club, however, we will be joined by significant numbers of "low expressors" in the next year or two. I suppose you can say that we Her2 high expressors are Unique and Special! This and a breast cancer diagnosis and you qualify for a year of Herceptin - yeah!
Too bad no one thought of Herceptin boosters - is there a clinical trial for that yet?
Yep, yep - clinical trials are a good choice, otherwise how do patients advance standard of care? The blessing in a cancer diagnosis is the opportunity to use your experience to change future treatment options and further research. Pub Med is some of my favorite reading material . . .
