I made it!!!! Today was my last herceptin treatment - one year ago I first began chemo treatment. Little did I know what was ahead for me. Chemo was a bear, besides the usual feeling horrible, nausea, loss of hair, fingernails, I went to the ER twice and had 2 blood transfusions - but I made it through.
I hope if there is someone out their just starting chemo - it will give them hope and reassurance. Tonite I am savoring this moment - I am sitting here after a day at a job I got back in August. I am watching my daughter give my first grandchild a bottle, that was born in December. My life certainly has changed quiet a lot since last February.
But I am happy to say - I came through it all "without a trace of smoke". Life is good
