Hello friends,
Well, it's a case of SSDD... Same SYMPTOMS Different Day... in my case.
I'm still suffering from being waaay off balance when I stand up or walk...
My hand and arm shake when I try to use them...
My speech is still "weird"... not slurred exactly, but not right either...
And the MRI shows no reason at all for any of this.
On a better note... the visual symptoms have receded...
but have been replaced by great fatigue, and a mild headache. (Since last weekend, I've averaged about 16 hours of sleep each day... WHILE on steroids!)
I know I should be grateful... and to some extent I am...
that the brain MRI shows nothing new or tragic...
but...
feeling lousy all the time is really starting to eat away at that positive outlook,
and getting on with life attitude,
that I've enjoyed throughout this mess.
And, the fact that none of the medicos can tell me why I feel this way is sorta disheartening too.
The current plan is to start weaning the steroids slowly... again...
but I'm not convinced that's going to help.
I'm willing to try, but I wish I felt better while I was doing it.
The thinking is that my adrenal glands are not functioning at all right now, and I'll feel better when they kick back in. We tested my thyroid function, and thank God that seems to be okay.
I felt reeeeaaally bad last Sunday... but have felt a little better each day since then. Maybe things are looking up after all.
Thanks for letting me "whine" and be weak for a while. All prayers and encouragement are welcome. Down to 7mg/day of dex... let the weaning (and whining?) begin!
Love to all of you... especially to those of you coping with way more than I am... and doing it much better than me right now!
Denise
Denise,
I hope you are feeling well and able soon and your symptoms dissipate. I think of you always. I hate cancer, I will never make peace with it. I just want you to be o.k. and for you to move out of this space.

Dear Denise -
I guess you have seen a good endocrinologist, but I wanted to mention it anyway. Maybe your hormones are also on the fritzz?
You must have been tested for diabetes by now. I recall the the dreaded Decadron kicked our dearly departed Christine into diabetes. She actually telephoned me to warn me about that when I started treatment for my brain mets.
There has to be something that can be found as the reason for your symptoms and not just surmises.
So, in the meantime, keep watching feel-good movies, go to physical therapy and enjoy the wonder of the change of seasons. Or have a massage therapist come to you. Maybe something like massage therapy couldl unlock some of those areas of nerve knots?

Hiya,
I'm getting off the dex too. It's like we almost have to, so we can back to our old selves again. It really takes a toll, eh? Not easy to do.
I still have the neuropathy, I'm going to get my 3rd infusion soon, getting my son's 5th birthday organized, so tired from the avastin, and having my next in 2 weeks then my final tx on Dec. 4th and can't wait!! It's a tough drug, in my case.
I'm around Denise. If you ever want to vent about SE's, or Dex, or just want to chat. I'm here!
Until next time my friend. I'm thinking of you always. Sending some dex whining vibes your way!

You know what? It's fine to not feel like being a cheerleader every day. You're entitled to a little pity party. God knows you've earned it! I know it is your nature to be upbeat but when you don't feel like it, you don't feel like it. So be easy on yourself and indulge in some guilty pleasure. Chocolate maybe??
And, as always, keep the faith!

Balance could be a problem with the inner ear. Sometimes a little hair will break off in one of the 3 tubes that help us maintain orientation and wreak havok.
Is the shaking only with one arm and hand or both?
I'm just wondering if all your issues come from different causes instead of just one.
I'm sorry that you feel shitty. I really wish that you felt great.
We love you.

Denise, I'm glad you're getting lots of sleep, because you must need it. All the sleeping makes me think your body is demanding the rest it needs to get better, and that's a good thing! Those poor adrenals need lots of rest!
You help others so much with their problems I'm glad you put yours out there so we can support you too!
You have been through so much and accomplished so much I hope you will be very easy on yourself for a while. You have reason to be very proud! And relief is just around the corner...

Aw Denise that is too bad. But as you say good too, as no progression. excellent that you are sleeping! The sleep that knits the raveled sleeve or....the ravaged body? So long has been the past two years, so many medical appointments. So it is so great to get many many hours of healing sleep...the body shutting down to do its repairs. Esp the adrenals...the stress glands need to repair during sleep.
You are the most amazing marathoner ever. We all here love you so very much and like i said before, whether it is good news or not, or you just want to vent, please do it here where we can find you !!!!!
Much love, and many hugs.

Denise, you know I love and adore you. And I agree with Bonnie, you cant always be a cheerleader. Hoping that the rest your body demands is the healing your body needs.
I'm so sorry to hear you feel so crummy. You are an inspiration and I hope you don't feel you always have to be "up". As far as steroids I have no doubt the steroids could wreak havoc on your body. I was on much smaller doses for far less time and I felt like crap. Withdrawal was horrible. I give you credit for all of this and strength to get through it and get your adrenals back. The only good thing was my ankles were thinner while on it. Go figure??? I hope you have something good from it. Hang in there. We are tougher than this thing, no matter what we are dealing with. Sleep when you can and what you need.
Lots of hugs, Cathy
Aw, Denise sweetie, you can rant and rave and vent all you want - I can only offer good wishes, prayers and cyber hugs - and also, even though it's not your birthday - eat some chocolate, it's good for you!!!! :)

Dearest Denise, it's only natural to feel down at times, so no beating yourself up about that please! I'm so glad that you have shared with us your feelings, as you have already received some very good advice on this thread - and isn't that heartening?
I'm sending you hugs, and letting you know that you are in my prayers every day.

There have been some good suggestions. Have they checked your bloodsugar levels over several hours? Have they checked for a systemic Candida infection/overgrowth? Do your symptoms get worse after eating or drinking something with lots of carbs? Or do you improve first when you eat/drink carbs and then crash?
Adrenal problems can cause these symptoms too.
There are, fortunately, several other explanations beside cancer.
Hope they find a way to treat this asap. I have had these symptoms and they suck royally!

Denise,
If you can not complain then who can?? This is such a process, and if this is not the place you can complain and whine then that is messed up! I watched a full day of TedX video's on Sunday and took notes to remind myself to have hope, be an inspiration, self-critizing, and the last one I watched was Self Compassion!!
It said basically....How would you treat your friends? How would you treat your family? Do you treat others how you would want to be treated? A lightbulb went off in my head, and I thought it is okay to love myself (self compassion). I treat myself like my own worst enemy in my own head, and I didn't understand it.
Through the world of cancer I worked at more then others ever realize from the people around me and how sick I wasn't, and I beat myself up. Loving yourself in my own twisted head meant being selfish or self indulgent. I am alone in a 3 bedroom house with a basement if I didn't chear people on or show a positive attitude maybe the only people I have wouldn't love me anymore. Another fear of having cancer is everyone will be tired of it all, so I have to be the best, loving, caring person and do NO MATTER WHAT.
NOW after all this I have learned that only "I" will get through this and NOT loving myself gets me absolutely nowhere. It is a new thing I just started to work on after Sunday. It is saying NO, and I have done it twice this week because saying YES is killing me I feel like and if it isn't cancer then it will be "my" own worst enemy.....
Whew, after all that I just said....AGAIN if I didn't have this board to be my total honest self in a po-dunk down and be afraid, understand that you understand, ask questions about what I should do, complain, whine and whatever else anyone wants to call it I don't know what I would do.
Denise you are JUST FINE and we LOVE you!!! And we can cheer when we want too and complain when we want to because this is a safe place for us all!!! And if some don't like it then too bad don't read what you have to say and that is ON THEM!!
I hope this all makes sense because I am supposed to be working, but my brain is now exhausted. I am hear in body but I spent, and I UNDERSTAND what you are feeling, and in a weird way I hope it makes you feel better in your mind, and I am not being pollyanna positive and you are NOT ALONE!
I notice you make sure you tell everyone HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! And I think it is so nice of you to do that....You are kind hearted, loving, and a gentle spirit. I feel like I am starting to know everyone slowly but surely by posts.
Hang in there.....

Hi NEDdie,
Well, first the good news. Yay for the big things like no progression.
I know how we get tired of being tired, tired of the horrid symptoms. I hate yours. Off balance for starters. Scary. Shaking hand/arm -- is that a thing a neurologist should look at? Let him figure out what no one else can. Onc says, not his department. Okay then.
I understand the very last thing we want to do is go for ANOTHER doc appointment. And/or ANOTHER test. But sounds to me, this is what you need to do.
Having discovered endocrinology, I don't know how I managed all those years without such a person in my life. Glucose, thyroid, blood tests not one of my many docs ever ever broached! And much was and continues to be discovered. Glucose tolerance test is nauseating, but it reveals stuff you may need to address. Ask a good endocrinologist.
Who tends to our adrenals?! My dghtr has a holistic chiropractor who has cured my other dghtr of vertigo, helped me with hot flashes big time, and helps my dghtr's adrenals get it together.
I know you, Denise, you won't give up. I am so sorry you barely have the energy to cope with each day let alone to schlep around to more docs, but maybe that's what you need.
This isn't your onc's bailiwick, which is great actually. So you need to find who can fix this.
Your symptoms are asking for some attention and they deserve it.
Adrenals shot? I can tell that from here, and I'm not a medical professional. Look what you've been through!!!!!
Surely lots of sleep, which repairs and renews all systems is essential!!!!! GO FOR IT!!!! No guilt involved here!!!!! Your body is screaming out for some gentle loving care. You must give it what it needs, if you want it to be good to you!
Be your own best friend! Be good to YOU! Just as you would to any and all of us!
Steroids are very helpful and/but are full of badness too. I know you're back to weaning, and I think this is a very good thing.
Bless your MRI. See parts of you are working well!
But feeling lousy all the time gets old, especially after allllll this time! You've been more than a trooper, you are a superstar, a Ninja warrior of the highest ilk.
I'm looking up and pleading, Come on. Give this extraordinary lady a break!
Neddie, try believing and rethinking about "weaning" (horrid though it is, and I've heard all your stories and swear I empathize with all my heart!) Think -- WEANING IS KEY TO GETTING BACK TO "YOU"! Or "ME". See yourself being your old healthy, happy, fun and funny self as you wean away! FEEL how it will feel. Remind your body how it feels to be healthy!!!
Do that throughout the day on a regular basis. Seeing it in vivid detail (you have the imagination to fill in the blanks here). Feel exactly how it feels. I know you can remember. Act as if you KNOW it is a done deal, you're on a path, in a process, and you can touch your desired goal NOW.
And please remember -- you can whine here all you want. You know that! And, I might add -- you are NOT weak because you whine. I find it revitalizing. Getting all that's bugging up and out, voicing it to the right people (US!). This is a very healthy and necessary part of being human! I believe in venting wholeheartedly! Don't give it a bad rap, please.
LOVE TO YOU, AS ALWAYS ((((((((((Denise)))))))))...

Okay, this sucks. Totally sucks.
Please ask if they're mixing your Avastin with benzyl alcohol. If they are, tell them to stop. (And even if they're not, the benzyl alcohol in Herceptin has a late cumulative effect--with each infusion, I got worse, but several months after I stopped receiving infusions I had a downhill slide into really, really bad).
I had every single one of the symptoms you're describing except for the shaking arms (although I did experience something similar--mostly in my shoulders--albeit intermittently). For some of us, benzyl alcohol is the devil. It has a bad effect on acetylcholine, which leads to a whole host of bad news. See here:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1725728
I couldn't find a list of everything that acetylcholine does, but I did find a list of what anticholingerics (acetylcholine blockers) can do, and you'll find your symptoms in the list here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anticholinergic#Acute_Anticholinergic_Syndrome
I also have a list of brain effects from the lack of acetylcholine:
"Acetylcholine is the learning and memory neurotransmitter. Symptoms of poor acetylcholine activity include:
• Loss of visual and photographic memory
• Loss of verbal memory
• Memory lapses
• Impaired creativity
• Diminished comprehension
• Difficulty calculating numbers
• Difficulty recognizing objects and faces
• Slowness of mental responsiveness
• Difficulty with directions and spatial orientation"
You already know that my onc and other doctors did nothing, so my endo gave me Aricept (donepezil--and trust me, you want the generic because a 90 day supply of the brand costs about $1,000), and it worked a small miracle for me. What has improved things over and above that is daily lecithin--about 15-30 grams, split into 3 doses (5-10 grams/dose). I was taking it all at once, but I discovered that splitting offered better performance. I started taking brewer's yeast at the same time--it also contains choline along with a bunch of other good things (but not Twinlab--either Bluebonnet or Solgar is best). If you can't get them to prescribe a trial of Aricept, at least try the supplements. Acetyl-l-carnitine will also help, as will citicoline or alpha gpc, but not as much as lecithin.
Your adrenals probably aren't helping the situation any, but be aware that acetylcholine has a role there too.
I hate to see this happen to you, and I demand that you get better. I insist. It's ridiculous that your doctors aren't turning the world on its axis to find a solution, because if anyone deserves a fix, it's you.

Awww s*^t, Denise, you deserve a good vent now and again! Whine away. We'll listen and commiserate! I wish I had a good suggestion regarding something to pep up your languid adrenals. There are supplements for "adrenal support" that may be beneficial.
It is hard to be the Timex Engerizer Bunny all the time, so don't beat yourself up for feeling discouraged. If I know you tomorrow will dawn brighter because you are an optimist to the core. I will pray.

Friends,
Once again, I don't know how I'd cope without you all!
First, Lien - I do feel better after I eat... the effect is almost instantaneous.
Rhonda - my memory, comprehension, and thinking are definitely being affected.
I so appreciate the fact that you all think this has to be figured out quickly "because I deserve it!" Thanks you guys!
So... today I went downtown for my regular Herceptin infusion.
But... for the first time in well over a year, I felt so terrible today that not only couldn't I drive myself... I wasn't even able to walk steadily enough not to fall down. It made me feel sad, sick and dependent. NOT feelings I like.
Fortunately my WONDERFUL husband dropped everything (as he is always willing to do) and became my caretaker.
Apparently, now my malady options are...
~minor heart failure... so no Herceptin for me till we get a new echo next week.
~progression of 'disease' into my cerebro spinal fluid... so no peace of mind for me until after a lumbar puncture next week.
~systemic infection... all kinds of blood cultures sent out today.
~cortisol/adrenal/thyroid problems... more blood and urine samples sent out today.
They've also pushed my restaging CTs up 2 months... just to be sure something isn't going on inside that no one noticed yet.
They actually wanted to admit me today for all these tests! But seriously... tomorrow's Friday. I don't want to be stranded there all weekend because they couldn't get everything done tomorrow. So I declined with the understanding that if the symptoms got worse, or anything new popped up... I'd go right to their ER.
Thanks again everybody! Oh! and Caroline - I'll definitely be calling to pick your brain! Just as soon as I can stay awake and feel human enough to chat.
And, Andi... you know I'm hanging on! It's just so hard when I feel so blechy all the time.
Please keep the prayers storming heaven!
Love,
Denise

Well, I loved Rhonda's post!!! LOTS of great info in there!
Adrenal Support Recommendation Sheet (http://www.drrind.com/therapies/adrenal-support-recommendation-sheet)
I read that obviously being stressed out (which you must be physically and psychologically/emotionally) is a cause for burned out adrenals.
AND -- among other factors -- WITHDRAWAL FROM STEROIDS -- can knock out your adrenals!!!!!!!! Hmmm....
Denise, I've been scouring the Internet re adrenal support for you. There are things you can do to help the process of bucking up your adrenals, rather than just waiting for them to heal!!! EMPOWERING, RIGHT???!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WedMD, Dr. Oz, and more... They all seem to agree on a few supplements:
ASTRAGALUS (which I take w/Thymulus) to boost my immune system.
B COMPLEX (which I take B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B-12)
C with bioflavonoids
TYROSINE (I take every morning along w/B-12 lozenge -- or I
am a slug...)
MAGNESIUM (which I can't take due to IBS)
CHROMIUM (in my daily regimen)
CARNITINE (yup, I'm on that too, daily)
There are also supplements w/adrenyl extract, which you can read about. I don't use these.
DRINK LOTS OF WATER!
Eat protein, fruits, vegetables. YOU FEEL BETTER AFTER EATING! THIS IS EXCELLENT!!
Walk, even if it's in your house, as much as you possibly can, get the oxygen flowing. But hold on to walls if need be. I've been there. Do NOT fall!!!!
Laughing at Rhonda's list of symptoms. Difficulty calculating numbers -- that's a permanent condition for me!!!
Your ECHO will be fine. If not, I have stuff to help... You are fine. No progression of disease. Forget that. Peace of mind!!!!!!!!! I have you covered.
It's all about your adrenals. And you can start supplements for that NOW. I know your darling husband will be happy to go get them for you. Don't even wait to order from Vitacost.com (best quality and discount prices). Just start getting better.
Remember how loved you are, (((((((( DENISE))))))... !!!!
I absolutely echo Rhonda's words -- "I hate to see this happen to you, and I demand that you get better. I insist. It's ridiculous that your doctors aren't turning the world on its axis to find a solution, because if anyone deserves a fix, it's you."

Strengthens immune system. Increases energy, enhances stamina, reduces fatigue.
+ bonus -- may shrink tumors!
Go for it, Denise...

I must've read your sig wrong. Still getting Herceptin? I'd bet anything you'd care to wager that it's the benzyl alcohol.

For goodness sake...whats going on with your body? While I am very, very happy this isn't being caused by cancer, Im am distressed to hear they don't know what is causing your symptoms so they don't know how to treat it. When I was coming off the steroids I slept almost constantly the first few days after reducing the dose, and I felt horrible. So I can definitely see the exhaustion aspect of it. Have they mentioned running any other tests to rule more things out?
You are always being so positive and giving everyone here support, so please know we are all here for you on the days you need support. We want to be here for you.
If it makes you smile even a little, I want you to know that when my balance was off, my kids called me John Wayne. They would say..oh, Mom is walking like John Wayne again. :)
I definitely pray that God guides your doctors into finding out what is causing this and getting rid of these nasty symptoms ASAP. Big hugs to you.

It's kind of hard, when we are naturally positive, hopeful yet realistic, to start to feel down because of pain and heath problems. I completely understand. Pain is increasing, I'm exhausted all the time, I sleep WAY too much and hate it, and I'm finding it harder and harder to find things to feel good about on a daily basis.
I'm not depressed like I was post C-Diff but I am in pain and having trouble doing anything. As the "funny cancer blogger" I'm having a much harder time coming up with humor in this situation to write about.
I think that's okay but it doesn't make us feel normal, does it? I'm sorry. I hope it's the dex and the wean will get you back to your old self. Maybe your symptoms are some sort of neuropathy or something?
Don't feel like you have to be positive all the time here. This is the place where we all should understand how hard this is - to be Stage IV, in treatment forever, all the pain and side effects - it's terrible and who else can understand but those who are living it?
Yesterday, I had a bit of energy. Very rare. I cleaned the living room, so trick-or-treaters would not look in and see dog toys everywhere and a dirty carpet. I had enough energy to dust, vacuum, mop. Which I haven't done in weeks. But then I fell down - tripped on a vacuum cord. And, I'm in horrible pain today like a 90 year old would be. Bruised, achy, bones hurt.....I'm in my 50s, this is ridiculous that a fall i my house onto a carpet could do this. But it just made me think - THIS is my life? I'm young, I am still mentally healthy.....but I'm frail like an old person. It's hard to match the reality with what we think should be the reality.
NEDenise

Ann - I feel your pain (from the fall at least). Feeling older than my years sucks! Dirty house sucks too... but I'm learning to live with it. :)
Doc called yesterday... among other things I'm sure...
I have a UTI that wasn't showing overt symptoms because of all the steroids.
Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part, but I actually think my blechy-ometer score might be a tiny bit lower after only one hefty dose of Cipro.
God! Wouldn't it be AWESOME if all this latest crap were related to something as easy to fix as an infection!?
I still have to have all the nasty tests to rule out other, more terrifying possibilities...
but... a little hope to hang my hat on is a beautiful thing.
You know me... hate going to that "dark place"... worrying about my beautiful boys facing young adulthood without the unconditional love of Mom. Nothing can replace that, and I'm just not willing to let that go!! They may look like men at 14 and 16... but they're still my babies.
So... sick reality that we all embrace around here... I'm actually cheered up by a raging infection... I don't even care if it's spread to my blood! Still waaaay better than the alternatives on the short list and the scary mention of WBR again. :)
The weaning is on hold though. Fall risk is too great (trust me... it's like watching a baby learn to walk... people want to stand behind me to catch me!) So I'm back to 8mg/day with some talk of even bumping that higher next week if need be. Whatever! Again, with the waaaaay better than the other terrifying alternatives thing!
So friends... thanks for checking in and for all the encouragement.
I hope all of this isn't TMI...
but...
I guess no one has to read if they don't want to...
and maybe all this shared info will help someone else down the line... at least I hope so.
Love to all! Hugs to those who need them most!
And prayers... lots of prayers!
Denise

Yes, double yay for the uti. Let's blame it all on that. Until proven otherwise -- which won't happen. Sorry you have to go through all those tests. Just to prove you're okay.
I have been there. Feeling sick all the time. Weak. Frail. I saw myself as a fragile person. I began to unconsciously treat myself as an invalid. Until I woke up and realized I had to stop that. Stop the visions of my babies (who were full grown, but still my babies) without me. I didn't want to miss a single holiday, birthday, whatever.
And that's when I started to learn, or re-learn, the power of our thoughts. Guided imagery is serious business. We don't want our worst nightmares to come true. We have to THINK FROM THE END, meaning when we are through the process and at our desired goal! We have to see ourselves not as weak, though we are not stupid, and know that the precarious steps we take say so much. We have to determine that we are not buying into the story that is presenting itself.
Realists don't succeed. Einstein reminded us that Imagination is greater than intelligence.
So imagine yourself well and healthy. This reminds your body to remember what it feels like to be well and healthy. Our reasonable brains can hardly recall how that feels, but our bodies definitely do. They can replicate the symptoms of being well and healthy!
We can't think, I am know I am going downhill, this is it, the end is near. That is wrong-thinking! Detrimental to our health.
When we're in the process of getting to our dream, we will have crappy days on top of lousier days, but -- we are making our way to our desired finish line!
Don't allow negative thoughts to rent space in your brain, please. For your own good. Cause what you think, will come to be. So use your power for your highest good.
Don't let your unwanted thoughts rule your life. Plant some seeds and watch them blossom in front of your eyes!
With love,
Andi

Denise, just a warning about the antibiotics, especially Cipro and others in its class - they are very good at wiping out gut flora and causing C-Diff. Which I had. Which I went septic from, which caused me to be in ICU and I was one blood pressure number drop away from having my colon removed.
So please, take some probiotics while you are on Cipro. Florastor is the name brand of the one that shows it can help prevent or fight c-diff, according to my infectious disease specialist. (You can google the generic name) They've done studies on this so it's real. Also, he said culturelle. You can't take it at the same time as your antibiotic but you time it a few hours apart. Also, make sure you eat yogurt and Kafir right now. Anything to bolster the good bacteria in your gut.
With all the things that have happened to me with cancer, C-Diff was the very worst. It took me months to recover too. Not to scare you but I always worry when a cancer patient, with our faulty immune system and hospitalizations, is prescribed antibiotics.
So a little preventative now might possibly save a lot of pain later. Google c-diff and imagine it as ten times harder than anything you've read.
And I have a 16 year old too and no, I am not done raising him. I'll feel more at peace when he enters college and starts his major - he graduates this year. Of course, I'll never want to leave my kids but at least when he's off to college I know I got him to adulthood.
Horrible.
I was just going to suggest the probiotics! I wholeheartedly agree with Coolbreeze. With the steroids, the cipro and all the other stuff that's been pumped into your body, you really do need them.
I know exactly how you feel re. your boys. Mine are 13, 18, 22 and 26. They all still need me. Especially as their Dad is not very good at parenting, having been abused as a child. He doesn't abuse them, of course, or I would have left a long time ago. Never lifted a finger. But he just doesn't have a clue about being a nurturing parent. He feeds them, gets them off to school, but that's it.
The thing I am most grateful for every single day of my life, is that my cancer hasn't spread. I have several other health issues, preventing me from working for the last 4 months, but I am pretty sure they are not going to kill me in the foreseeable future.
So let's stick around, shall we?
BTW I seem to have gotten my latest UTI under control by drinking unsweetened cranberry juice (mixed with mineral water) and probiotics.
Hugs
Jacqueline
Denise, yay infection! I don't doubt one dose could make you feel at least a little better. I am a phys therapist asst and have worked w elderly who seem to have gone off the the deep end and Lo and behold its a UTI! Not saying you're elderly or gone off the deep end but it's amazing what a UTI can do to our systems. Probiotics. Lots of fluids. And feel better. Hugs

Okay... so
Tuesday afternoon... 1:00 echo to rule out congestive heart failure.
3:00 CT of chest/abdomen/pelvis... to rule out progression "elsewhere"
Still waiting to hear when the lumbar puncture will be...
Blechy-ometer score down from 9 to 7 (sometimes dips as low as 6.5 when chocolate is infused) :)
Fingers and toes crossed. Hands raised in prayer!
I'll keep you posted!
Thanks for checking in, and for all the prayers and words of support. Now that I'm not feeling quite so baaaaad all the time... my positivity is starting to seep back into my day. :)
Love to all!

Well, a modest improvement is still an improvement! Glad to hear you feel perkier and your chin is tilting upward a bit. Prayers for a clean scan and echo with a surprisingly robust ticker! We have not because we ask not, so I am askin'!
Hang in there, our Lil Miss Sunshine. These storm clouds have got to break this go 'round!
