On the Way Home from Ablation

​My liver literally feels like a train wreck, but thank the Lord for painkillers. On the way I was feeling no pain and gleefully sang along to Sirius radio, hits of the 50's, hits of the 60's, hits of the 70's, hits of...well, you guessed it. All the hits. I was belting out Splish Splash by Bobby Darin, Dream a Little Dream of Me by the Mamas & the Papas, etc. When that got old, I used my phone's bluetooth to play my favorites through the car radio - mostly Eric Clapton of course, but there was the old standby "Whip It" by Devo. My poor husband had to listen to me and my nonsense. But hey, at least I wasn't crying, which is what I usually do on the way home from UPenn.

When we got home, there was a beautiful collage of pictures of my family and friends through the years, made by Anna, our youngest, assisted by one of my BFF's, Lorraine, who had her with her all day and most of the evening while we were in Philly.

Just thought I'd share a little fun news.

Gotta love Sirus and their unending Oldies! I have quite the mental picture of you bee bopping along, head swinging right and left, as you belt out your tunes grinning all the while. It does a soul good to sing. I think it is akin to laughter as a medicinal balm.
