Thomas Jefferson University called today to tell me that they had reviewed my latest mri, and the spot on my liver is not a malignancy, but a hemangioma. Totally benign!! I so appreciate all your loving support through a very tense week.

Hugs,

Barb I think I mentioned in your earlier post thats exactly what happened to my friend too who's a twenty six year survivor, it seems to be a common condition but they find it more often in us because we have more scans than others!!
Wonderful news and I'm so pleased for you:)

Dear, dear HER2 sisters, thank you so much for all your loving support and kind words. I don't think until I had a cancer diagnosis that I realized how important my support system is. Sometimes, I just couldn't put thoughts together to pray, and knowing that I was covered was (is) and awesome blessing. You are all so loved and appreciated and in my prayers.

That is great news! I had had hemangioma too. They told me same thing, more common than most people know, we just have more scans.

That is wonderful!

I had a similar experience back in 2009. My right side felt weird for a while and I was so sure that I'd got liver mets - especially when I was sent to get an ultrasound right after the CT-scan. Turned out that's how they confirm a harmless hepatic hemangioma - it will not light up on the ultrasound!
