Can TDM-1 be given with BBB crossing chemo agent like Temodar?

As we all know, TDM-1 does not cross Brain Blood Barrier. for us brain mets with other mets sister, it doesn't hep much. does nay bosdy know if we can use TDM-1 in combine with other BBB crossing drug like Xeloda or Temordar?

Either Genentech or your Onc would be your best resource. That's a pretty complicated question but hope you get some good answers here.

I have the same question. I am currently on the TDM1 EAP but will probably get kicked off as my brain MRI last week showed progression in my brain mets. I do not think they will not allow me to get radiation and get back on the trial. I am really bummed as it is working in the rest of my body

when t dm-1 is appr, ( very soon ), we should use its impressive stats in the body to push the " powers that be " at FDA and Big Pharma to allow it to be combined w/ bbb crossing drugs like tykerb. The slowness of Pres. Obamas "new " FDA w/ t dm-1 suggests continued bureaucratic defensiveness, and the likelihood of some restrictions on appr. so we must continue our Stage IV Rights fight.

Thank you all for your reply. If tdm-1 is Herceptin bounded with Taxotere, for commonsense it should be safe to use other chemo agents that cross bbb. We brain mets sisters need innovative treatments, don't we? If any doctors would be willing to try this, please share with us.
