The Dr. Said because my scar is so long and it is supposed to protect the coronary artery. Anyone have this type of radiation?

Hi Linn,

I have not heard of this, but Googled it and it seems to be an improved form of radiation therapy. Targets the cancer in 3D, can be done with higher does because it does not affect normal cells because it's targeted just to the tumor site.

Sounds like an improvement and I can't find any negatives to it's use, only positives. It's expensive and not covered by Medicare in many areas, so would probably be used more if reimubursement were not an obstacle. So this actually sounds like good news!

Let me know how it goes!

Yes, that is what I thought when I read about it.
