I'll be seeing my Oncologist on Monday since all my testing is done to discuss all my treatment options. My cancer is a little complicated because the majority of my cells are ER/PR- and a small number are ER/PR+ so I have to be treated for both. The rest of my stats are in my signature. Any suggestions for what I should ask about or "demand" during my treatment? My sister who was stage II ER/PR+ Her2- is going with me but our cancers are somewhat different so I'm hoping you can give me some guidance on what I should be asking for as part of my treatment.
I'm full of questions today but treatment starts next week and my head is spinning. Portacath goes in tomorrow.
Thank you!!!

Hi,
I think Herceptin is a must (obviously!) and perhaps Taxol and Cytoxin, I had Adriamycin but don't think they're doing that now as later studies showed some later heart damage, sorry I can't help more but wish you well as you begin this and please keep us posted.

Hi Angel!
What a turbulent time you are having - just an awful feeling right before that first appointment; small wonder your head is spinning.
You are a smart cookie; clearly an information seeker. Write down your questions and remember to ask them. Be present and listen with every cell in your body. And if you walk out of there feeling the slightest unease; set up an appointment for a second opinion. I am sure we have many California members who would gladly give you ideas for a person to go to for a second opinion.
Please stay with us and tell us how it goes.
Love and luck
