Jen - Tell Sheila that one of us will order a chocolate martini in San Antonio. We will toast to all the love and guidance she has provided here over so many years.

I will Steph I think that will make her happy knowing that. I told Mom tonight that I needed her to do something for me. I told her after she crosses over I want her to come to me as a beautiful butterfly and land on my nose and give me butterfly kisses with her wings to let me know she is at peace on the other side. She told me she would do that for me and I believe with all my heart that she will. Mom actually called me tonight I told her I had to take Jasmine to the doctor in Chicago tomorrow and she said call me and let me know how it went. Until she takes her last breath her heart will be filled with concern of those that she loves and that includes you on Her2 support. I tell her about the battles lost by Brenda, EmelieB, KrisVell. She wants to be remembered as someone who helped others even in the disease that will ultimately kill her because that is how she lived her life. Mom told me that she saw getting cancer as a blessing in disguise because she knew her time would be limited and she didn't take tomorrow for granted as those that are healthy can afford to do.

Thank you Jen for your post tonight. I am always thinking of Sheila and wondering how she is doing. Your mom is such a blessing to us here at her2support. She is right in saying "getting cancer is a blessing in disguise!" When you really think about it, everyone begins dying from the day they are born. Those of us who get our mortality smacked in our faces are truly the lucky ones because we are given a second chance, as it were, to do and say those things want too.

No doubt, losing our loved ones is the toughest thing we can go through. Watching them slowly leave us is heart wrenching.

I am thankful you and your mom are able to say and share very special things with one another through this part of her journey. It's so very special.

Love to you Jen and Sheila. Say hello to your mom from me and please give her a gentle, loving hug from me.

Peace,
Mary Jo
