Perjeta side effects

The day after my 4th Perjeta infusion I woke up with a flaming red swollen face. Anybody else have a similar experience?

Are you on Perjeta alone? Or with Taxotere? My face gets beet red from the decadron (taken for the taxotere)

I have not had that experience with Perjeta and have had it for one year now.

Hi Chrisy,

I was on Navelbine for 3 mos. w/Herceptin and Perjeta every 3 wks. The reaction occurred when I had just started my Perjeta/Herceptin regimen. They'll give me some pre-med. next time, probably Decadron and/or Benadryl. It was unexpected since it was my 4th infusion of Perjeta, but I guess reactions can be delayed.

Hi Carol - I haven't had it this reaction, but I've only had Perjeta 3 times, and the third time was today.

I've bad Perjeta/herceptin alone once, then twice with taxotere. I had no problems with the h/p, but am making it up with the taxotere. Everyone is different, so I think the important thing is that your medical team is well aware of what's going on
