I drink a cup of green tea, the Japanese Sencha variety, three times a day. Dr. Richard Beliveau, researcher and author of "Foods That Fight Cancer", recommends that variety as being very high in the EGCG component. He also recommends using loose tea, vs tea bags, and steeping the tea for 8 to 10 minutes, to allow full extraction of the EGCG.
Most Chinese grocery stories carry leaf Sencha teas. But try to get the one grown in Japan, not China.
