I am a six year survivor. During and subsequent my chemo treatment, I suffered from neuropathy. Five years after chemo, I had foot surgery to correct nerve damage believed caused by the chemo. During the past 2 months, I have been experiencing lower leg pain. I have cramps during when inactive. When I get up out of a chair or bed, I have leg pain which causes me to limp. I had an x-ray and a sonogram. The orthopedist advised there was no blood clot or tumor. They are sending me to see a physical therapist next week. When I asked the orthorpedic doctor about doing a scan, he replied that he thought the problems are related to the foot surgeries and nerve damage. I see my oncologist in October, and I am wondering if I should be more foreceful about insisting that they do a scan. Has anybody had similar symptons following chemo?
