Hi All!
I'm home! (My outpatient procedure turned into a 3 day stay!)
Good pain meds!
Awesome husband and kids!
Dogs who missed me...A LOT!
I was blessed to have the cutest, friendliest elderly roommate during my hospital stay. Once the pain meds kicked in...it was like having a 2 day slumber party with an old friend. She sort of reminded me of my mom a little bit!
Most, no, make that all but one, medical professional were professional and compassionate. Delightful! Clearly they love what they do! I've already sent notes of commendation to their supervisors.
The exception,Nurse Ratchet... her supervisor will be receiving a letter of extreme dissatisfaction...as soon as I can type a little better. (You all will get the sarcastic, slightly hyberbolic version of my dissatisfaction as soon as I'm not so loopy (from narcotics) all the time.) In all seriousness...I feel compelled to report her...for fear someone's elderly relative will be subjected to her "ministrations" if her superiors don't intervene. She was a mean person, and a bully. I gave her the benefit of the doubt at first...then she crossed the line...well...let's just say...the only thing I like less than mean people, is bullies. She met her match my friends. The letter will be very detailed, and somewhat forceful, I imagine.
Anyway...I'm home...on my own couch...watching my own TV...and drinking anything I want, any time I want...and no one's measuring the "output"!
It's good to be me!
Please remember to keep those prayers and good wishes flowing for a beautiful recovery...with full range of motion, and minimal scarring. Thanks for checking in to see how I am!
Denise
