Skin problems

Has anybody else had skin problems from Taxotere? (I assume it's not the Herceptin) I have a blotchy face and rash/blisters on my chest and back - great look! Any suggestions?

Yes, I had skin problems on Taxotere- from second treatment. Just overnight developed horrible looking pimples all over my face! I thought great, I have coped with the hair falling out, now I'm going to look absolutely awful.

The cancer nurse was great, immediately contacted pharmacy and they prescribed me with a antihistamine tablets- sorry can't remember what they were called it was a while back now. They did the job within a couple of days all spots were gone! A kind of allergic reaction to treatment - apparently it is quite common.

When I was on Taxol I had many skin problems and the oncological dermatologists could never solve them. itching skin, blisters, toe nails turning yellow, lots of odd things. I was given cortisone cream - didn't really help. for the itching calamine lotion worked best. you have to keep covered up and out of the sun. Hopefully by now they have some good solutions - I did Taxol 7 years ago. Good luck.
