Hi wonderful ladies--

As some of you know, I currently work for CPIC- Cancer Prevention Institute of California (www.cpic.org) (http://www.cpic.org) where I work primarily on breast cancer related studies. The new study I'm working on is currently recruiting daughters ages 6-13 to participate in a 5 year study aimed to look at things we can do to prevent breast cancer starting from a young age. And we need study participants!!!! If you have a daughter who is age 6-13, we would absolutely LOVE for her to participate in our study. We are trying to recruit 100 daughters in the bay area as apart of a national cohort study where the researchers are aiming to follow them throughout all stages of the pubescent and pre-pubescent life. Personally, I think participating in research studies is beneficial because you basically have a team of people that are paying attention to your daughters health free of charge and from the comfort of your own home! And of course- everything is strictly confidential.

Some details: If you and your daughter agree to participate, there will be a female interviewer that will come to your home and 1) she will ask your daughter general questions about habits and exercise 2) she will measure your waist, hips, height, weight, and foot size 3) If willing, she will collect a urine and small blood sample. Both you and your daughter will receive gift cards to fun places like TARGET on each visit as an appreciation for your contribution to the study.

I've attached a brochure about the study and here is the link for additional info. (http://www.legacygirlsstudy.org/).
