My pharmacy company Accredo/Medco, has the Perjeta in house when I called today, I asked what it costs without the insurance she did not have a price. I pay 50.00 for 3 months of tykerb or herceptin, she said my copay would be 85.00 for 3 months. I asked if she needed preauthorization
(they have the other 2 Her2 drugs on my profile) she said all she needs is a RX from my Oncologist. I forgot to call Onc manager regarding the clinics timing of getting the drug. (If I get Herceptin from Accredo it saves my insurance company about 700 a week. So I would like to also get Perjeta from them as well. the mail order company is so big, I would think supply issues would not be an issue.
So if FDA/prescribing info says it is for people who never got herceptin or tykerb, does that mean if DR orders it "off label" do we get to use Perjeta??
Hope and prayers
