update after visit to Onc

We had an appointment with the Onc today to see if she needs a 4th Chemo.The Onc after examination said that the healing process was on and he does not want to weaken Hema with a 4th Chemo.A PET and CT scan with contrast are to be done in the last week with the next Onc's appointment for 2nd July.He said that the unstable walking was the continuing side effect of Taxol.Hema complained of the pain in the affected brest which comes and goes,He advised Tylenol to be taken if necessary.I am just wondering if the pain is part of the healing process.Am hoping for a good PET report

I've found pain IS part of the healing process, in fact, my team thought I should worry a bit if I didn't have a little. It's the Kill Off. Bad cells dying. Of course, I keep repeating that to myself, it's my mantra.
So glad you are keeping up with Hema's update. I think of her often.

I am so glad the healing process has begun.
I agree with Karen. The cancer cells are likely to complain when the medication kills them. The only way they know how to complain is by causing some pain.
Maybe Hema can ask her doctor for some physical therapy for the walking problems. Physical therapy may help strengthen muscles and bones that have been affected by medication. All the best to you both.

I have a little pain at times. Even if it isn't a true sign of healing, it's a reminder to me to visualize my immune system successfully meeting the threat. I do think it might mean cancer cell death. Apoptosis--my favorite new word since getting breast cancer!
