Coughing - scans scheduled

I have a bad cough that gets worse when I lay down and it keeps me up at night. I have a chest CT and MRI of abdomen/pelvis scheduled for Monday am. to check on the liver mets. Should I still get the scans? I'm not worried about the cough - I probably caught it from my 8-year-old. But I didn't know if it would cause things to show up on the scans that would cause unnecessary concern and more scans.

Let us know what the scans show,..seems like coughing that occurs more when one lies down is often related to a sinus drip problem....hoping you get good news! Its always a worry when something different occurs! best to get it checked since you are having a scan anyways!

THE LORD IS GOOD!!!!! THE TUMOR IN MY LIVER HAS SHRUNK ABOUT 1/2 THE SIZE!!!!! PRAISE GOD!!!!

They do see "stuff" in my lungs but are fairly confident that it is not cancer, that it is viral. Of course, there's a rare possibility that it's a reaction to treatment, but they don't feel it's that, either.

Great news - so glad the treatment is working! I'm sure your lung problem is just something going around. Even people with cancer get colds and bronchitis. :)
